Everything you need to know about Kai
Frequently asked questions about Kai’s features, usage, and limitations.
Kai is your AI-powered assistant inside Komo that helps you generate reverse briefs, campaign ideas, and working cards in seconds.
Just type a prompt and Kai will return a structured brief. With one click, it can build a draft card that’s ready to test, edit, or share. Kai removes the blockers between idea and launch.
Kai is currently available in beta for all Komo users at no additional cost. There are two areas to access Kai based on your use case. If you're looking to use Kai to build cards, select 'Create with AI' when adding cards to your hub. If you're wanting Kai to generate campaign ideas or creative angles, click the 'Chat with Kai'/Stars button in the top header within the portal.
Note: When accessing Kai for the first time, you will need to opt-in to enable Kai across the platform. This opt-in can only performed by users with company 'owner' permissions. If that is not you, please reach out to the relevant stakeholder within your organization to enable Kai.

Right now, Kai is designed to help you generate campaign ideas and create Cards with a single prompt. You can use Kai to:
- Generate and explore campaign ideas or creative approaches
- Generate a reverse brief from a simple card goal or idea
- Create a test-ready card from the brief with the click of a button
The more specific you are, the better. Try including your objective, audience, theme, or any prizes involved. If you don't provide enough detail, Kai will prompt you with follow up questions to ensure it has adequate information to build out the brief and card.
Yes, and we recommend it. Kai gives you a head start, but you're always in control. The tool will get your card to the point at which you can instantly test and publish, however we recommend making updates prior to launching to the world. You can prompt Kai to make edits to the brief prior to card creation as well as having the ability to personally make edits to all aspects of the card after it has been created.
No. Kai is fast, but not flawless. Because it is powered by generative AI, Kai may occasionally produce inaccurate suggestions, inconsistent logic, or placeholder content. It is important to ensure all content is reviewed prior to going live.
Yes, and fast. As the beta continues, you can expect regular updates that make Kai faster, smarter, and even more useful over time.
Kai is still in beta, so there are a few things it doesn’t support yet (however, many of these capabilities will be introduced in future):
- No image generation
Kai will insert placeholder visuals but cannot generate custom images. - No file uploads
You can’t upload assets or documents for Kai to reference. - Single card generation only
Kai currently builds one card at a time. - Card behavior may vary
Each card format is unique so Kai's performance will vary between cards.
When adding a card to your hub, you can filter by the 'AI' tag to see which card types are currently supported by Kai. These are the cards that can be generated using the 'Create with AI' option.
Yes. Kai can use live web search to help generate more relevant and up-to-date content based on your prompt. This is especially helpful for topical or time-sensitive campaigns.
